Fonzie came in to my life just before my 25th birthday. I decided to get myself a puppy as my birthday present. Little did I know as I was looking through the paper the joy that was about to come into my life.

I remember it was 2 long weeks from the time I picked him out to the time I got to take him home. He was so cute and cuddly when I went to pick him up. It didn't take long before he was comfortable with me. He knew that he was loved.

It's amazing the bond that forms between a pet and their owner. Fonzie was my baby. He was also my best friend. He was there for me through some very tough times in my life and I will never forget that. He was always there to lick my tears away.

Which reminds me of my favorite nick-name for him. "Fonzie Squirter-Humper-Licker". While he thankfully out grew the Squirter and Humper part, he certainly was a licker. He loved bed time so he could go under the covers and lick my feet. Hey...I didn't ask him to...he just did it. So he had his quirks. :)

If there's one thing I know for sure, it's that I loved that dog with all my heart and soul. He had a good life and I know that I made him happy. There wasn't anything that I wouldn't have done for him. He was a lucky dog, and I was a lucky mommy.

I love you Fonzie. Mommy misses you so much and thinks about you every day.

You will never be forgotten and you will always be love.

I miss you.
