Jenny was a pure bread black Labrador Retriever. We got her when she was 8 weeks old (on Dec. 23rd) and gave her to our 9-year-old son Zack as a Christmas gift. She was Zacks "dog" but she quickly became part of our family with a loving, friendly and playful personality of her own. Jenny was a playmate and friend to our children as well as a constant companion to my husband and I. She was smart and lively and very protective over all of us. She had the shiniest balck coat and the sweetest eyes you've ever seen! And wherever there was food, there Jenny was as well! On the night before Easter, Jenny was struck by a care in front of our home. She clung to life long enough for all of us to say goodbye to her and was buried in a "pet cemetery" of one of our very kind hearted neighbors. On the following Tuesday, we took a Cross with her name and flowers wrapped around it to her gravesite and held a small family funeral for her. Though Jenny was only 6 months old when she died and it may seem to others that was had her for such a short time, she wagged, licked, barked, begged and played her way so deep into our hearts that our memories of her will never be forgotten or looked upon without a smile along with a few tears! We miss her so much, but we know that she's in Heaven laying at the feet of Angels and running her little heart out having a great time. Goodbye for now and have fun Jenny Girl, We'll miss you!
