She was a funny gorgeous little girl who i rescued as she was to be put to sleep due to neglect. I took her under my wing and turned her into a healthy happy little hamster. She made me laugh and smile when i was down, and always acknowledged my presence in the room by climbing the side of her bars until i spoke to her. I miss her bright beady eyes and they way she used to make cute little noises to get my attention. She was sadly taken away from me after a short 6 months together, but i'm glad you are not in pain no more darling, rest in peace and you'll be with joey now. Make sure he's ok for me. This poem felt fitting for you. i love you Maisie. I miss you so much. Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glint on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you wake in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft starlight at night. Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep. (Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there, I did not die!
