Funny how a little thing like that can warm your heart, make you feel responsible for it and want to pamper it every way you can, amuse you and your family, even friends who can't decide if it's an overgrown hamster or a cute coloured rat. Perhaps the biggest pet I can get to own while I don't have my own place, it was truly amusing to see him getting all plump, happy, and contented over the months and years. He was quirky in his own way (I apologise to my hall neighbour for the many times he squeaked the corridor down: walls are very thin I know). Thanks to my dearest mom for taking care of him the many times I wasn't home. Thanks to Chris and sis who helped take care of him when I was away. And of course, many thanks to Shuyu who suggested the name for the little fellow! I think at the end of the day it'll be my mom and I who will feel that pang in our hearts, but as little as he was (and cowardly antisocial, the shy jittery dear), he was a sweetie.
