When Buddy came to us 3 years ago he adopted us as his family. My Grandpa who took care of Buddy and raised him had died and my Grandma could not have pets at the place where she went to live. We were unsure of how Buddy was going to adjust to his new family. It did not take Buddy long to win over our hearts. Buddy was a good dog and was very loving and friendly. He greeted us every day when we would come home. He knew theexact time when everyone was supposed to get home and would wait at the door until everyone was home from work. He was like our little baby. He would let us hold him like a baby and would even sleep with us in our beds at night. We would all take turns sharing our bed with him. He wasn't the healthiest when we got him but we brought him back to good health. He did have to have insulin everyday, but we didn't mind having to get up early in the morning to give it to him and being home at a certain time to make sure he got his second dose. We loved Buddy so much that we would do anything for him. We would often buy him toys or clothes when we were out shopping at the store. When we would come home he would get really excited and try to go through our bags in hopes that we bought him somehting new. We know that there will never be a dog like our little Buddy. He was like a human to us not and animal. We treated him like he was one of us and made sure all his needs were met.
