What a strong fighter, a lot like Dad. For 16 years Barney has been more than just a pet. Not just a friend. Not just a companion. But a member of the family. Most animals as they become part of the family, mainly become attached to one member of the family more than the others. That is somewhat true in Barney's case but a little deeper than that. Ya see Barney made his mark on the hearts of each of my family members in very seperate yet very special ways. Too many instances to name but everyone knows how he fit into their lives, and more importantly how we fit into his. Though 16 years is quite a long journey to have with the ones we love, it's no where near long enough. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't hear the "click-click-click" of his nails on the tile floor. I use to think it was one of the most irritating sounds. But the truth is, now I miss it. I think of Barney everyday. "Our Barn-Barn!" He's with Daddy now...... Best friends reuinted to do some "male bonding." That thought warms my heart!
