Catherine was born on a small farm in NH. She was one of many pups who were known search and rescue dogs. After an exciting puppyhood, she went on to protect the home, and to compete in 4-H events. Allthough, never scoring well in the Fitting and Show category, she scored very high in obedience. In fact many times in first place. She was very modest about this accomplishment. She gained more joy from knowing she was making people happy. She was very good mannered, and never would harm anyone. She enjoyed traveling, and visiting her second home, 'Grandmom' for an occasional ice cream cone treat. She would enjoy laying in the sun in the drive, as well as curling up by the fire in the winter. Always eager to hear the words "lets go for a ride". In her later years, with a hearing problem, she learned to interpert sign language. Having a good healthy life, she had complications in late 2005. Slightly recovering. And then in Jan 06 she developed many problems. She passed on Jan 12,2006. A spring burial is planned, where she will rest in peace on her home property.
