This little soul was the victim of a puppy mill. I post this memorial for him in hopes of showing someone the victims of this horrible industry, and keep them from supporting it. I met this puppy in the pet store one day. He was there for months and months. Even as he became more and more depressed, he always wagged his tail and kissed my hands. I'll never forget him........

A little golden retriever puppy was born into a puppy mill on a cold January day. He spent his first weeks of life out in the cold air, cuddling up next to his mama and siblings. He didn't know it, but he was in a place called a puppy mill, more like hell. When he was way too young, he was torn away from the only home he knew, thrown on a truck, and brought into a cage. A cage that had a floor which hurt his little paws. A cage too small, for a boy so big. A cage inside a pet store.

He hoped that soon someone would rescue him from this awful cage. Bring him to a human who would love to play. Every time a person came to look he wagged his tail and spun around, hoping they'd take him out. As the days went by the cage got smaller and smaller, soon he could do nothing but lay in one spot. He stopped wagging his tail, stopping giving kisses. He just looked up with those sad eyes.

His time was out. The pet store no longer wanted him. The puppy mill didn't need him back. They tried to sell him at an auction, but with failure. The fate of this puppy, I'll let you figure out, for it is too horrible for words.

May you rest in peace sweet little puppy. Play, run, and be free on the Rainbow Bridge. No one can hurt you now, no one can lock you up. No more abuse, from the puppy mill industry.

It may be to late for this puppy, and for many others, but it's not too late for the rest. It's not too late to put an end to what killed this little boy. Don't buy your dog from a pet store. Go to a shelter or reputable breeder. Don't buy toys or food or beds or leashes from pet stores. Just educate people about them. http://www.stoppuppymills.org/
