My cat, Moonshine- I know it’s a weird name- was run over on February 22nd 2024. We got him on February 6th of 2023. He was no more than a couple months old when we did get him. He smelt so bad, he was always hungry, but he was a great cat. I came home from Middle School one day and my parents had told me what happened. I don’t know what to do. I’ve been nonstop crying since I heard the news. From before I even got him he ate rat poison, so he was bound to die someday, but I didn’t expect it to be so soon. He was just a kitten. My life will never be the same without that kitten. It doesn’t help to know that he’s in a “better place” because a better place would be here, with me. He wasn’t just a cat, he was family. And nothing will ever change that or how much I love and miss him.
