-excerpts from "Queen...Page's Lady Shelby" -written July 19, 2005 -Carol Page "Page's Lady Shelby is a purebred Irish Setter who has matured to be 13 years old this Nov.2. She has a birthday party with gifts and a doggy cake. I make the cake from scratch, as nothing is too good for my Shelby. She has inquired about making her own guest list, as we do live in a remote part of the countryside. She feels it would be safe to invite her counter parts of the harmonizing yelpers to our festivities. I am NOT in agreement. A birthday party should be shared with those you consider to be close personal friends. I feel that those who do not support and love you are just dogs and mutts .. all of the way around. ...I leave my home by 0630 in the AM, report for work at AOMC by 0700 and am most generally out of there by 1530... ...I report to SJH by 1630 and just kinda hang out there until 2030 or whenever I finish my tasks... ...When I finish up at St. Joe's I normally come directly home. As I pull into the driveway around 2100, the harmonizing practice has already started... ...Shelby is immediately scratching at her door to go out. She is sure she will be able to invite her harmonizing friends to the upcoming birthday party. Complete with homemade cake, presents and some yummy snacks that have been purchased specifically for her from Walmart. She is .. I'm quite sure ... one of the lead singer in the "Haromonizing Yelpers" I am but a servant and must make my queen happy, without the company of the neighborhood back-up singers."
