Poohbear came into my husbands life at the age of 8 weeks. She spent every minute of every day with him, Went to work with him, to the store, They were inseperable. They only spent 1 night away from each other, the night she was spayed.
Poohbear loved life, Her favorite thing was "Looking for the cat" She even had Pooh Tv, any critter in a cage at her eye level, she never tried to hurt it, but she loved to watch it.
She was an extremely smart dog and understood the spoken word, Especially "Lets Go" She never let strange dogs in her yard and people were suspect until she was told they were ok. She communicated her wishs very well, either vocally or with body language.
She loved to go for rides on the front of a motorcycle or in a boat or anything else her human wanted to do.
Poohbear was completely devoted to her human, adored him with her eyes. She was a bit aloof, she didnt care for lots of petting or love and hugs but was completely content to sit at her Mans feet or side. She accepted me as a part of her pack and tolerated a few pets from me, but her Man was her life.
She was my husbands first love, last love and complete love. Everyone else in the world came second to her, which is understandable. She gave her love and loyalty without condition.
My husband was devasted when it came time for Poohbear to cross over, her health failed due to old age. My husband loved her enough to realise that her quality of life had failed and it was time. He sat next to her and loved her til the last second of her life, ripping a piece of his heart out and leaving a hole that can never be replaced or filled.
PoohBear will live forever in our hearts and memories and awaits my husbands crossing so they can be reunited for eternity.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
