Max was a beautiful white German Shepherd. He was the youngest member of our family. His death was very sudden and unexpected. He died from an undetected condition called hemangiosarcoma (malignant cancer of the blood). We had no warning signs until the night that he collapsed and we took him to the emergency room. He had severe internal hemmorhage and his condition was too late to treat. We had no choice but to put him to sleep to relieve his suffering. Max gave each of us a unique type of love and kindness. In return, he was respected and loved by each of us in a unique way. Max (sometimes called Maxie Boy) is remembered for his extreme loyalty and affection. He would sometimes just sit with his ears up listening to you when you had a bad day. His warm and furry body would always provide a soft place for your head. He loved to bark at all living creatures, even the falling leaves from trees. You see, Max always thought the whole neighborhood was his territory, including the sidewalks. Anybody who passed by, needed Maxie Boy's permission. We will all miss giving him kisses, hugs, and cookies. His mom Afi will miss going shopping with him, sleeping with him by her bed, waking up to the sound of his bark, and mothering him like her little baby boy. His Dad, Parviz will miss going out on walks with him at night and feeding him chicken in the mornings for breakfast. His sister Bahareh will miss studying with him in her room and talking to him about her problems. His brother Behdad will miss wrestling with him on the ground like 2 brothers. His Grandma will miss giving him everything she could find in the kitchen while nobody was looking. And his Uncle Daryoush will miss giving him 5 cookies at a time when he walked in the door. Max will be missed and missed and missed for many years to come. Goodbye to your white hair. Goodbye to your big brown eyes. Goodbye to your pink little tongue. Goodbye to your sweet bark. Goodbye to you sitting on the couch. Goodbye to you sitting on the kitchen floor. Goodbye to you licking our face, hands, and feet. Goodbye to you going through the trash. Goodbye to you chasing the squirrels. Goodbye to you listening to us. Goodbye to you taking care of the house. Goodbye to you sitting in the back of the car. Goodbye to you playing in the back yard. Goodbye to you tearing up the christmas wrappings. Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye. We will miss you our big white friend.
