With an uncanny ability to locate sick and injured cats, Ginny had rescued over 900 cats in her entire life. Everyday in the past 16 years, Ginny had her caretaker Philip Gonzalez fed and provided medical care to hundreds of stray cats in Long Beach New York.

Ginny’s unique talents in locating sick and injured cats had rendered her numerous appearances in CNN, Animal Planet and major news. Her rescue stories were illustrated by two national best selling books: The Dog who Rescues Cats and the Blessing of the Animals. Ginny passed away on August 25th, 2005.

With the passing of Ginny, her unfinished mission of cat rescuing is continued by her caretaker Philip Gonzalez everyday. A non profit organization, The Ginny Fund, has been established to raise fund for cat rescuing in Long Beach New York. More information about Ginny’s life and the Ginny Fund are available on www.GinnyFanClub.com and www.GinnyFund.org

Dear Philip, what a wonderful blessing Ginny has been to so many! I know you must miss her terribly, but the bond you two shared will not be broken by her passing. There is a forum that provides pet loss support and you would be welcome to join us. Delphi requires you to register to join but it is free. It can be found at http://forums.delphiforums.com/poaa/start
I am sorry for your loss.
