Tootsie was a mixed breed. She was my "21st" birthday gift from my Mom. I picked her up from the breeder when she was 3 wks old. She was a tiny little thing, I don't think she weighed more than a pound. She was bottle fed and was a spunky little dog. I loved her light brown eyes and her long red sable hair. She was always well behaved, many of my friends and even strangers were amazed how she listened to our commands. For example, we went to Puerto Rico and Tootsie waited patiently sitting on top of one of our luggages, it was sight to see. Strangers would take her picture and were shocked at how she acted. Tootsie was 12 yrs old when God took her away, it was difficult seeing her sick and having seizures, but I could not see her suffer any longer. The day before she died was a sunny nice day, we sat her outside, she loved breathing the air and we knew she was comfortable at home. I refused to leave her in the hospital another day, being tortured with IV sticks and inside a cold cage. Her last night was miserable for her, but I never left her side. This was the most difficult decision I had to make. I said to myself, I can't do this, but I can't see her suffer any longer. God's precious gift, TOOTSIE, her unconditional love and friendship, always made us smile. She is forever in our minds and hearts. We'll miss you "good girl" rest in peace. Love, Judy y Jose
