Beau was nothing short of a Saint. Granted sometimes he was a theft, but he always told on himself. Swiping butter off the kitchen table leaving the wrapper on the floor no big deal. Fisby catching, stick retrieving, deer chasing, beach walker, hill climber, cattle hearder he did it all! And always with a smile and a gleam in his eye. Kind, sweet, loving, totally devoted. Best unconditional love a man could ever hope to find. He was a 4 wheel riding kind of pup he always rode in style, but what he loved more was hearding that quad @ 35MPH winter, spring, summer or fall he was there to lead the way to ensure I'de never get lost on HIS 400 acres of rolling bluegrass farm land.
Sweet Baby Beau, never showed he had any health problems until it was to late. On 9 July sensing a change in his energy level we went to see the Vet, his blood work showed low blood sugar and a few spots on his lung, he was given medicine and his blood work and xray were sent to University of Kentucky where it was reviewed and no viral or fungal conditions were visible. Arriving home from work on 28 July I noted that lethargic condition appear upon him again. Beau went to the Vet on 29 July had more blood work done once again his blood sugar was dangerously low, he also had a fever of 104, more medicine was perscribed with a recommendation to feed him sugar water or pancake syrup when I arrived home. On the drive home Beau was panting hard he had no strength, I cradeled him in my arms and carried him to the house put him in his favorite area and gave him pancake syrup had to force it down him, I stroked him with a wet cloth to cool him off and prayed that he would bounce back, told him how much I loved him. Beau was dying, my heart was breaking. My sweet precisious Baby Beau passed at 12:25 Pm 7-29-05.
