I go to the back door and I pause, waiting for you to join me, but you do not come. I miss you my little buddy. One half of the "boogy woogy, beagle boys" is missing from my life, but not my heart.

Alex, Alex, Alex I will miss your soft ears. When we cross the Rainbow Bridge we will welcome you and Fred and Snoopy and all the others that have gone ahead and will go on before us.

If you all are not there I will not stay.

I'm sorry that we didn't see the signs that you were ill. You were such a good boy! You never complained even when you were sick. I always expected to have you come home with us.

I miss you, baby. Chase rabbits and squirrels now. We'll all be together again someday. We love you.
