I adopted a skinny ten month old Pippin from a shelter in Houma, Louisiana. I really feel it was fate that I found him at all. So many things out of the ordinary led to me finding him.

He was a piece of work in the beginning; his anxiety was horrible. Once we found the right med, he mellowed out and became a loving, calm, loyal companion. He got along great with my other Doberman, and they would play for hours.

I suddenly had some medical issues come up, and he alerted me to them with no provocation. I ended up building on that, and trained him to be my service dog with the help of a trainer.

He was absolutely amazing in every way. With me all the time, and I have never bonded with another dog the way I did with him.

His death was sudden and unexpected, we only had a week after his cancer diagnosis. But I did everything I could to make that week comfortable for him, as he deserved that.

He was my heart and soul, and is completely irreplaceable.
