Zeus came to our family on the occasion of Rit's 5th birthday. Born to a Bulldog mother and Neopolitan Mastiff father, Zeus soon left behind his siblings and headed for "home". In no time, he was exploring and learning very quickly. All the humans who came in contact with him were first drawn to his "unusual" face, but soon learned about the kind soul behind those big white teeth. Zeus loved everyone and everyone loved Zeus. In his spare time, Zeus like to hike at the various local trails and loved playing fetch in the lake with his human friends. Over the past few months his health became worse with occasional seizures and great stiffness in his hind end. We don't think he was seeing or hearing so well those last few weeks and was sleeping close to 18 hours a day. Our buddy just wasn't himself anymore, so with a VERY heavy heart we had him put to rest. I'm sure now he's chasing those darn chipmunks again! Zeus is survived by his human companions Dawn, Ashleigh & Richard, and his canine friend Abby.
