"Yoshi STOP BARKING!!" The sound of Jillian and I around 9:00 every morning, when Yoshi decided it was time to scare the squirrels off the birdfeeder on the deck and to rally his troops (Jill and Myself) to fight the good fight against them.
Yoshi was feared by many, but to those who knew him, was the sweetest dog in the whole world.
He loved his Daddy. Every morning when Dad would go out to his shop, Yoshi would be there at the door watching him to make sure he got there okay. When Dad came in every night from work, Yoshi would go insane! Chasing his tale, yelping, he was so excited to see his Daddy. Those two had a bond that can't be matched by another person or another animal. I remember the first day we brought Yoshi home. I put him down on the floor and Yoshi walked right up to him and rubbed against him almost to say "Well I'm here, you must be the big guy around here, the names Yoshi, pleasure to meet ya." When Dad would mention the words "Ride" the excitement in Yoshi could be seen through his Brown and Blue Eyes. Those two were like a Championship Wrestling Team, companions, father & son.
Yoshi also loved Nancy very much. Those two had such a unique bond. When Nancy first came to join the team, Yoshi did his usual when he meet's a new person. Barked, grawled, and attempted to scare. He didn't scare. Infact he made a life long friend. Nancy was Yoshi's source to the "goods", dog bones, table scraps, going outside, and espcially rides. When Yoshi saw Nancy's purse he knew it was time for a ride! I know whenever Nancy is going to the bank and has her purse in her hand, Yoshi will be there right beside her.
Yoshi also loved his Mommy. Mom was the one who had known the lady that gave us Yoshi. THANKS MOM! Yoshi and Mom also had a very special bond. Mom was a housemaker and was very close to Yoshi. She kinda acted with him the way the little baby of the family gets treated. Couldn't do ANY wrong! I remember anytime I would joke around with Yoshi, I was being "mean." Yoshi knew he would ALWAYS get some of whatever Mom was eating. She also had the golden hand for scratching his neck.
Jill was Yoshi's big sis. Jill always told us a funny story about what Yoshi had done, and him speaking up for himself with a little bark. Jill could also get Yoshi to sing. She would start sayin in her "yoshi voice" "come on yoshi sing, aww are you going to sing?" and he would start singing. It was amazing. Yoshi loved Jill VERY much for being his older sister, and is still going to be protecting her just like he always did.
And that leaves me! Yoshi's MAIN COMPETITION. I would always give Yoshi trouble, but it was a good trouble. The kind of trouble that would annoy him just enough, like a big brother can only with his little brother. We had the most unique bond out of anyone. I would get down on all fours and "play doggies" with him pushin him and just tryin to get a reaction out of him. Yoshi would always look at Dad as if to say "can I get him?" Dad would always say "GO GET HIM PUP!" and Yoshi would jump on me and try to knock me over. I will always remember the first night we had him, and he got out of the kitchen and started nibbling on my fingers as if to say "hey what the hell are you sleeping for! I'm a puppy! I need to be played with at all times! Boy do I got things to teach you!" I love you.
All in all Yoshi was the best dog ever if you got to know him. He hated strangers, but that's just because he didn't know if you would hurt his family, which we all know was Yoshi's #1 thing. Yoshi had this kind of Charisma about him, that we all knew the first day we had him.

We love you pal.
