Dexy was our special boy who adopted us in April 2009 at the age of 3-4 years old after he was found as stray and was placed in a shelter for 7 months. He was our gentle giant who was the smartest kitty we have ever met. I truly believe he understood human talk. He loved giving love-bites, and gentle head-butts to show his love and talking to us, especially when he wanted something, even slamming kitchen cabinet doors to get our attention when he was hungry and needing some extra love. He was the protector of his home and growled at the window to anyone who walked down the street, which was adorable. He was our personal assistant and always involved with all the activity in the house. A few of his favorite things to do were rolling around in catnip, and soaking up sunshine on the deck and in the backyard, window hunting birds, and most of all playing. He loved to play with any kind of cat wand anytime of the day. He also had some favorite cat toys, his ratty rat, and mousey mouse that he proudly carried in his mouth around the house. We miss our beautiful Dexy and hope he is now pain free and in a beautiful place that he can play in a grassy field while watching birds.
