I was the Aunt of a beautiful cocker named Thelma. This is her story..... There once was a Princess named Thelma Louise. She was of course named after the movie. Her name was going to be Corona Gold but Grandma would not allow it, so Thelma Louise it stayed. She was the sweetest, most loving dog around. She loved to dig holes in the backyard to lay in. Now all of those holes, dug with love, are occupied by her younger, much larger brother, Murphy. She had a cousin named Elvis who got on her nerves all the time but she tolerated him when he had to come over for a weekend. She loved to be in the kitchen when Aunt Cristin and Mom were cooking for the Christmas 2004 party. Always waiting in anticipation for something yummy to be dropped on the floor, she sat patiently with a smile on her face. Tortillias and popcorn were her favorite snacks. They were the tastiest of all. She loved to come home from the groomers all nice and pretty and fancied up. Everyone oooo'd and awwww'ed over her. Being the princess was her most favorite time. Thelma will be missed. We loved her with all of our hearts and it seems like she left us too soon. I have only been her aunt for the last 3 years and I know for sure that was not near enough time to get to spend with her. I do know for sure that she is in Heaven, young and beautiful and running around telling every other doggie angel what to do. So tip your glasses to Thelma... with LOVE always in our hearts.
