Jack
Beloved family member, gentle giant, and lover of biscuits

Jack was a staple of our family, our "gatekeeper" and vigilant guardian. He was the ultimate source of love and happiness and would stop you in your tracks to give you your morning kisses. His happy face, almost always "smiling", brightened any and everyone who was lucky enough to be around him or got to know him. He was a great dog, teacher, older brother, and overall our guardian angel.

Every morning Jack would look forward to playing with the birds that would swoop down for a quick drink and bite to eat at the birdbath in HIS backyard, then quietly return upon his momma's warning to "leave it". He'd then race his little sister Marley back to the house where he'd get his favorite treat, Biscuits! Jackie loved his biscuits, maybe even as much as he loved his favorite spot at the end of the couch! If you ever needed to hit the kitchen for a midnight snack, you had to be sure you were quiet because Jack knew, kitchen meant BISCUITS! and no one could resist his big brown eyes and "powdered sugar donut face!".

But above all, Jack loved his family. He loved to spend the afternoons outside with his mom and dad, especially if dad was grilling! Jack was his momma's shadow, from sunup to sundown you could always find him close by her side, offering his love and affection whenever she needed it. When his Papa Tom and Nana Jo would come to visit, Jackie went berzerk, he ADORED his g-parents. His Papa Tom always made sure he got a treat in addition to plenty of love, and his Nana Jo's endless love and excellent cooking would always draw him into the kitchen for a sample smell of what might be "dropped" at the kitchen table. His boys loved him dearly, like a brother. And he'd allot time for each of his four boys to get some one-on-one time with him. Whether it be cuddling, playing, or just watching TV on the couch, Jack always showed how much he loved you, and safe to say, I think he got a pretty good idea how much he was loved back.

When he was a puppy he used to love playing "Go Jack! Go!" which was essentially him running circles around the house while the family cheered him on. But Jack was simple, and we loved him for that. Part of being so simple led to his precious love for nature and the critters that inhabited his yard. He was truly a gentle giant and never harmed a fly. Jackie used to chase butterflies and little birdies but never understood why they'd fly away and didn't want to play, but it wasn't anything that a quick walk or treat couldn't take his mind off.

As he got older, Jack appreciated the little things in life like Morning sunrises, watching his St. Louis Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys, finding just the right spot on the couch, or his favorite, when his family came to see him and gave him all the love in the world. Jack really was an admirable pup and a fighter at that. He survived being thrown from a moving vehicle going around 40 mph when he was just a month or two old. Not long after, he passed his PetSmart training with flying colors! And possibly the most difficult of all, he formed an unbreakable relationship with Kodiak, our older (ill-tempered), furbaby. Jack fought until the end, never losing his ability to stand, walk, or give kisses and he now gets to be together again with his Kodiak and Tosha Jo.

Our love is forever and always baby boy!
Until we meet again,

Mom, Dad, Papa, Nana, Brandon, Ethan, Grant, Garrett, & Marley
