I knew when I got him from the shelter that he might not be with me for a long time, but there was no way I could have left him in that cage to wither away...we only had two weeks before I learned that he had a malignant tumor that was untreatable, but those two weeks were more joyous than much longer times spent with other individuals, and the love and trust he gave me will stay with me always. In his name I will go forward and rescue another needy animal, and I will never forget the gift he gave me.
