Loui was always a hard luck kitten. He was adopted from a huge litter of malnourished kittens, and was brought home sick. It took a few months to get him back to health after taking him to the vet. However, he perked right up and we even got him fixed up with shots, but soon after he was poisoned. We took him to the vet again, and nursed him back to health after they told us he may die. We thought he was the toughest kitten having survived so many trials. 

We made many memories together, and he helped me get through my senior year of college. Sadly, he went missing the night of the 24th after he darted out of the house. He's done it a few times in the past, but always comes back. This time was different though. When we found him in the road his collar was missing and so was his life. I can't help but feel responsible and terribly heart broken. I took his body to my parent's house and buried him with his favorite toy. He will be missed beyond belief and no companion could ever replace him. I'm so sorry I was unable to protect you and be there for you when you needed me most. I hope to see you again Loui.
