i, being 13 years old, had chappy my entire life. he was my first "loss" but by far, the hardest i believe i will ever have. one of his wierd quirks, being a golden retriever, was when he brought the ball back from "fetching" he would drop it, and ease it to you with his nose. he stopped doing this around the time he was diagnosed with osteo sarcoma(bone cancer that eats away yh tissue) because he stopped really playing altogether. but the day of his death, we took him out in our front yard, where he used to play...and although he didnt go far, he let us roll it along the ground, and he then pushed it to us, the way he had a few months back. when we took him to the vet that day, before we had to put him down, he seemed ansy, so we put a pair of headphones on him...and it was adorable. chappy was the greatest dog i ever knew, and i will forever love him.
