Molly was truly a wonderful pet and brought love and joy into our family. She came into our family in an unconvential way, when my wife was working at the Humane Society, called me to come up and adopt her because she was not allowed to adopt as an employee. We almost got caught, but we brought her home.
She was a bigger girl, and she got stuck in the Cage's tubes the first time. She was scared, but got her out, and got her an appropriately sized cage. After that, she was queen of her roost.
SHe also loved her Hamster ball. Most nights, she would beg to get out and wreak havoc on upon the house and other pets. She would run over the other pets, Chico the Dog, Chinny the Chinchilla, and even her partner in crime, Charlie the Hamster. Often in the evening we would hear crashing and banging, only to find her trying to navigate around the bathroom and hitting the tub and toilet.
Also, one time, I left her cage open when feeding her and she went missing for a day. My wife and I searched and searched, and thought she was gone, when we realized she was under the refrigerator, hanging out and partying. It took a broom and me lifting the refrigerator to get her out and back into her cage.
Near the end, she learned to escape from her cage. She was very smart and very sweet. Although sweet, she would let you know if she didn't want to be handled :).
Unfortunately, with the circle of life, she developed cancer and it spread throughout her body. On Mar 21st, 2005, we had to take her to a very special vet, Dr Brock Exline in KC, MO, and she had to go to the afterlife. We stayed with her and held her and caressed her and told her how much we loved her and how much she meant to us. She passed near 3:50pm in the afternoon, CST

Molly, you were a wonderful little princess. Being the only gal in the family of pets made you quite sought after. Of course, being a sweet, innocent little thing, you tossed them aside. You were always a sweet little girl. You brought a lot of light and entertainment to our lives. We will miss you princess. Enjoy your afterlife.
