Today was the worst Mother’s Day

I’ve ever had before

My best friend Yoda passed away

He died on Aiden’s floor



It was a day meant to be happy

Why did he have to go?

Now we all feel so crappy

Because we miss him so



Instead of brunch at ABC

We took him to the farm

And dug a grave behind the tree

With shovels from the barn



I cried all day and cried all night

And wished he was still here

And hoped to God he didn’t suffer

When the end was near



Yoda, I just want so much

To see your figure eights

And kiss your head and feel your touch

But now it’s just too late



We buried you with Pikachu

Because he was your friend

And it might give you comfort too

That he was with you in the end



My heart is aching, Yoda

Why did you have to die?

I hope that you are there for us,

Watching from the sky



Now your love for us is all that’s real

Why did you have to go away?

As time goes by I’m sure I’ll heal

But I’ll always wish you could have stayed.
