Sam was always willing to go wherever i went. He Loved to go kayaking and whenever we put the kayak on the ground he would hop in and look at me.... "Come on".. then he would settle down for a ride. He loved it at Round Valley, and he was happy as long as everybody was close together or else out of sight. He was content to lay up on the bow and watch the water, but if he could see the rest of the family getting ahead of us he got upset. I told him he should paddle if i wasn't going fast enough, but he never did. For a dog that didn't swim he sure loved the water. He would wade, only up to his tummy. As he got older he started laying down in the cool water when we were sitting next to the lake. He loved to go for rides in the car. He liked the convertible a lot and would ride shotgun. I always thought he should have sunglasses and a visor, but they would not stay on. Sam loved going out in the snow. Sometimes we would put a tee shirt on him because the snow would stick and ball up in his fur on his underbelly.
