Sandy was the best cat a person could ask for. He will always be remembered as "The Honey". He found Michael one day back in August 1991 as a tiny scared kitten hiding in a tree near Michael's home. He was with Michael and his family ever since. Sandy was just content being with his family and exploring his world near his home in Pittston. He was a good hunter of mice and had the usual run in with the local neighbors cats and dogs but he always stood his ground and protected his territory. A neighbor told a story of one time when he even had a standoff in her yard with some deer. She said he would not back down to them, it was the funniest thing she had ever seen. We remember a time when he was waiting on the steps for us to come home and he was basking on the bottom step in the sun and had a friend with him on the top step doing the same, it was a snake! It would have been a great picture but by the time we tried to get the camera the cat and the snake moved. We have many fond memories of Sandy, he will be deeply missed. There is a great hole in our hearts that will be difficult to fill. Rest in Peace dear Sandy.
