Charlie was an extremely precious dog, loved by many, especially his family. He lived every day to the fullest and made everyone smile, even in his final days. He lived a full and happy life, and everyone around him benefited from his presence. Charlie was always keen for a snack and certainly always hunting for them with his powerful sniffer, Whether that meant robbing the food from the bench or pinching Advent calendars from us kids at Christmas time. He was always a soft soul he wouldn't harm a fly, well, actually, from time to time, he'd try eating one, but that's beside the point. When we took Charlie to Cafes, parks, and playgrounds, there would always be little children wanting to pat him. We could let them pat him without worry because he was a very gentle giant he never bit or snapped, only showed affection. He of course, had survived siblings of his own, though, as he had to cope with us three kids tugging on his fur as babies and crawling all over him, so he was well accustomed to little children. Most importantly, Charlie loved everyone and anything. One time, he even fell in love with a goat.
Charlie was truly a treasured dog and will be missed very dearly, especially by his loving family. If love could've kept him going, he would've lived forever. However, he is in a better place now where he can continue to rest and run wild. I love you, my sweet boy, and I cherish every memory I've been lucky to have with you. You were more than my dog you were my brother. I will miss you always. Farewell for now, buddy.
