We bought you home when you were about 12 weeks. You were so beautiful, your breed was a Lhasa Apso, and you were a dark beige and white but as you got older your colouring changed to cream.
You already had a little brother when you joined our family, he was a bichon frise and his name was Barney and he was the most beautiful loving little friend anyone could have.
You got on really well although sometimes you had a little paddy of a temper on you.
We love you so much sweetheart and you have had a few medical problems in your life which, with your strong will and it was strong, your bravely overcame.
When Barney died and went to Rainbow Bridge on 30th March 2006 , you broke your little heart and pined and we were told by our vet to get a new puppy. We bought Teddy, a golden retriever puppy but you didn't want to be friends with him, you just wanted Barney. We since had Buddy our Old English Sheep dog and then Thomas the bichon came to join us but you still missed Barney. You would play with them but as you got older you seemed to be happier on your own.
You were nearly blind had kidney failure and trouble with your little back legs but then you developed ccd, it is like doggy alzheimers, you were on meds for it but it slowly got worse. We tried so many different meds from the vet for you but none of them worked and Uncle Robin, your vet, said it was only going to get worse.
We spent several lovely days at the seaside, you walked a long way but when you were tireed we put you in your doggy pushchair, you seemed to have a lovely time, we loved seeing your walking along the beaches sniffing everything in sight
With our hearts breaking yesterday Friday 30th September at 10.20 we did the only thing we thought we could do to help you , we couldn’t bear to see you suffer, so we took you to see Uncle Robin and he gently sent you to sleep. Another 10 days it would have been your 17th birthday.
I want you to know my darling how precious you are to all of us and so much of our hearts you have taken with you.
We have your ashes in a beautiful wooden casket next to Barney's.
You were a brave little soldier Jack, our brave little soldier and we will love you forever.
I have asked Barney to wait for you so you are not alone and afraid, and when you get to Rainbow Bridge, you will be able to run again without pain, see the beautiful grass, rainbows, and your poor little head wont be in a muddle anymore.
And one day when it is mummy’s turn to come, she will come and find your both along with Ben and Blue and we will all cross the bridge together and we will never be parted from each other again.
If you can baby jack (that was your nickname)come back and see us or send a sign to show us you are there with Barney and he is looking after you.
It broke our hearts to let you go sweetheart but we had to do what we felt was right for you.,please try and understand that and please do not be angry,I couldn't bear that.
We will love you both and Ben and Blue forever.
God bless you my angels.
