Sally Sue definitely fit in with the toy fox terrier stereotype of thinking they are big. Whether it was another dog, someone at the door, or the vacuum cleaner, Sally always put others in their place with confidence. Sally was an extremely loyal dog and she loved to be in the company of others, especially her best friend, Cassie. If there was a thunder storm though, everyone was Sally's best friend and she became attached at the hip until the storm passed.

Sally was often mistaken for being cold or scared because she would shake. But nope! That's in her breed. As she got older, she would shake less, but she never completely stopped.

Sally was a wonderful dog. She was gentle with kids, no matter how much they would pester her and pull on her. If they hurt her, she might whine or cry, but she knew to never bite. Once in a while she bit someone she knew really well, but that's how all of us are; we're most comfortable being brats around the family!

Sally loved the hot sun that Florida provided year round. When her family decided to pack up and move to Colorado in 1999, Sally was forced to adjust to the snow and the shorter summer. It was not uncommon for Sally to hold her bladder all day in the winter just so she could stay inside where it was nice and warm!

Sally Sue was my best friend. She came into my life when I was five years old; I don't remember a time when Sally wasn't part of my memories. Sally left us quickly and peacefully, which I am thankful for every day. I miss her so much and I often find myself clinging to my locket with her picture in it with tears running down my cheek. I know she is with The Lord now and I am so blessed to have had 15 wonderful years with her in my life.

I love you so much, Sally Sue. I will see you in Heaven one day and then we'll be together forever.
