Sara was the runt of a calico litter owned by a French couple. I picked her out because she had the most white on her and a funny black nose. She was so neglected I worked hard to bring out her shining personality. Talking to her like she was my best friend cured her.
Sara was VERY psychic, think her name she would come faster than if called. We had an extra special relationship after her brother passed in October 2005.
Sara loved playing with jewelry, flirting with men, got a pair of stinky shoes? her face was right in them.
She would sit close to you and scamper away when you reached to pet her.
She always made you STRETCH out of your comfort zone to love her.
Late 2004, Sara who had been my little butterball most of her life got very thin due to kidney disease, even after she turned 15, she looked and acted like a kitten; people were amazed at how beautiful she was for a 74 YO lioness. Her eyes glowed her coat shined and she made a lot of new friends - neighborhood cats/and men of course.
Sara was full of life, she loved to run around the apartment, run out the patio door, jump into the green chair, over the brick wall and race out to the pool.
She would sit out by that pool like she was sunbathing, try to catch the giant rats (possums) or that pesky squirrel that lives nearby.
Sara had a pink collar with a bell; she would come whenever I called her even if the sprinklers were on and she got soaking wet.............well after a while,
it was not my call but my thoughts of love for her that drew her near to me.
Sara was very very happy, she loved life, playing with jewelry especially gold chains; sleeping in the sunshine, and being outside.
She was so smart she understood everything said to her. She is sorely missed in this NOW catless household...her spirit is still here....
