We thought Tiki would be an only child, and then there was Jackie, this little tiny cat who needed a good home. I named her Jackie because I was reading a book about Jackie Kennedy when we got her, I thought she needed a lady like name to make her turn into little lady herself. Tiki loved her from the day they met. The love she gave to him and to us would have been more than we could have asked for, but she gave us more. She gave us her beautiful babies. Lucky and Pheobe were her gifts to us, and Linus, Kanga and Arizona were her gifts to the people who adopted them from us.
She made us laugh, all those times she would chase her tail and play in bags after we had gone shopping, the way she would chase Jason around the kitchen whenever he got out the milk. She could jump higher than any cat should ever be able to jump. She had the whitest belly and she loved to have it rubbed. She wasnt the conventional lap cat, she had a hard life before we got her, but she loved us all so much. Tiki loved her with all his heart, I truly believe they were kitty soul mates. I will miss her knocking all the blankets out of the closet so she could sit on the shelf, the way she cleaned herself so perfectly, the way she was always hiding in site. She was a beautiful cat. We never imagined that we had such few years to spend with her. She liked it when I held her paw, and I held it right until she was gone. She will never be forgotten, she is in our hearts and in Tiki's, she is in Lucky and Pheobe's faces, I see her in all her favorite places. We will never forget her, we love her too much to forget.
