Jeffrey, (11), passed away peacefully in his home, with his family and a tennis ball by his side, on November 4, 2022. He was rescued in March of 2013 and matched with his forever home on May 16, 2015 at the age of 3 and a half. After traveling from Tennessee, Jeffrey followed his family from Springfield, MA to East Longmeadow, MA in 2017, and from there to Tolland, CT in 2020. Jeffrey, while not a fan of most male humans, quickly found his best friend in his dad, who slept on the kitchen floor with him on his first night home. Jeffrey will be remembered for his love of tennis balls and playing in the snow. He leaves behind his heartbroken family, his dad and best friend, Greg, and his mom Megan, as well as his three girls, Hannah, Olivia, and Dylan, and his recently adopted brother, Barkley. Jeffrey's family would like to thank Stafford Veterinary Services of Stafford, CT for their limitless compassion and dedication to his care throughout his extremely brief battle with liver cancer. In addition, to David Theroux, DVM, who though not Jeffrey's primary care doctor, provided answers and guidance all through Jeffrey's final night. Last, but certainly not least, to the incredible people at Country Road Animal Rescue in Waynesboro, TN, in particular Angel Nataschke Shelton and Amanda Gatin Van Fleet for rescuing our sweet boy so many years ago and giving him a second chance at life, following his journey on Facebook until the very end. If you should feel so compelled, memorial contributions in Jeffrey's honor can be made to: Country Road Animal Rescue, 312 Highway 64 West, Waynesboro TN 38485, or by Venmo to @CRAR-4.
