Melli was my little girl, my best friend, my companion. In the morning we would watch the birds at the feeders for two hours before i would go to work. When I came home she always greeted me cheerfully meowing and running to the rug to do summersaults and wait on her back for belly rubs. she slept beside me every night and woke me every morning just before the alarm went off. I miss her, she was a big part of my life. I loved her. She will always be on my mind and in my heart. I know she is waiting patiently at Rainbow Bridge for her next belly rub

Farewell Friend, yet not Farewell,
Where I go, you to, shall dwell.
I am gone, before your face,
A moment's time, a little space.
When you come where I have stepped,
you will wonder why you wept.

A Bridge Called Love
It takes us back to brighter years,
to happier sunlit days
and to precious moments
that will be with us always.
And these fond recollections
are treasured in the heart
to bring us always close to those
from whom we had to part.

There is a bridge of memories
from earth to Heaven above...
It keeps our dear ones near us

It's the bridge that we call love.

My Sweet Melli - you have been gone 4 weeks, but it still feels like yesterday. wasn't it just yesterday, that you greeted me with a cheerful Meow and happy face! Wasn't it just yesterday that we watched the birds from your window! Wasn't it yesterday that we chased balls, and squeeky mice!
Wasn't it just yesterday? oh Melli, how I miss you! I'll love you forever Mel Mel, my KiKi-baby

Deb, I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how crippling the heartache can be after only four weeks. Your pretty little Imelda is beautiful, bright-eyed and obviously well cared-for and loved. She is worth every tear you cry right now, but you will eventually be able to smile more often at the memories. She waits patiently for you and her next belly rub. A fellow animal lover.
