What can we say about Sandy/Lumpy/Sneow? We got him as a kitten from the Oakville Humane Society. He had been rescued on the side of a street in a box in a rain storm. He was with some other kittens as well. When he was small he used to hate thunderstorms, probably for the reason of being abandoned in one.

Sandy wasn't fond of the outdoor world. Although there were a few escapes, he would often run right back into the house.

Our favourite story of Sandy was when we went to Murtle Beach on a family trip in the motorhome. One night Jennifer and I were inside the motorhome and my parents were outside with some friends. My dad came inside to get a drink and came in with a cat in his arms saying 'Sandy, how did you get out there?'. We were wondering the same thing because he doesn't like it outside. The cat wandered into the back of the motorhome right as we realized that Sandy was asleep on the chiar! My dad brought in some random cat into the motorhome thinking it was Sandy! We were killing ourselves laughing cuz this cat was identical to Sandy and just strutted into the motorhome like he owned the place! It was so funny, we laugh histarically about it to this day!

One thing Sandy loved about camping with us was lying on the dashboard of the motorhome. He would lay there alllll day in the sun.

Sandy loved to lay down on the hot vent all the time and loved to sit in the sun. his favourite spot was always on the couch with dad.

We all know Sandy was pretty fond of food! He LOVED ice cream. When he was younger, he would come running at the sound of the freezeer door opening, knowing that one of us was getting into the ice cream. He also loved Doritos and any fish-type foods.

Things I will never forget:
- all the times mom had to get the lint brush for our kilts in the morning on our way to school, ahhhh cat hair
- celebrating his birthday when we were kids
- grandpa feeding him chicken from the table, even though he knew it would make him sick!
- the times he would lay across my homework because he wanted attention
- ALWAYS coming to the door to greet you, even in his later days when it took him some time to get off the couch and to the front door

Sandy was the first pet I can really remember. Our first cat (Sandy #1) died shortly after we got him, so I don't remember him so much. We had Sandy for 14 wonderful years! He was a part of the family. But now he is in Kitty Heaven and probably being fed chicken by grandpa again!
