Dixie was a wonderful friend and a part of our family.  She was a beautiful (inside and out) tri-colered beagle with a giant heart.  We lost her to diabites.  She loved to howl at night -but it never was for more than a few minutes and it made me feel safe.  My heart is so broken.  My husband and I cryed all day when she died.  She was the best freind anybody could have.  We will miss our Dixie girl.  She was wonderful with kids and it seemed everyone on our street loved her.  She liked to play with Tony-a game where she often showed him who was boss! Our kids, Zach and Eli grew up with Dix and they considered her "part of the family".  Our little one often said she was his sister.  HE would tie a jumprope to connect his bike and his little red wagon and give Dixie a ride.  Dixie loved us and we were blessed to have her 6 wonderful years.
