Scotty was truly a loyal companion. He was a guard dog, a best friend, a playmate, and comedian all in one. Even the times when you would be mad at him for doing something bad he would still find a way so that you wouldn't be mad at him for to long. I remember one time when he was a puppy that he chewed on my mom's couch leg. He knew that he did a bad thing and whimpered and hid but when we all sat on the couch he climbed right up and sat in our laps. We couldn't be mad at him any longer. He was truly my dad's best friend but the whole family loved him. He loved to chase squirels in the backyard and play ball. He was a really sweet dog. But as with old age came problems such as arthritis in his legs and balding hair. During the last couple of days his arthritis got worse where he couldn't get up anymore. It was heartbreaking. We know now that he is happy and my grandpa's are walking him right now in heaven. We miss him very much and know that he will always be apart of our family.

Personal Notes

Scotty we really miss you. It is not the same without you. We grew up with you and you were for the longest time the only pet we ever knew. You were a good friend and you will always be apart of this family. We love you.

Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I and you are you. Whatever we were to each other we still are. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way you always used. Why should I be out of your mind because I am out of your sight. All is well, nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before. Condolences from Ireland.
